Declutter

You can start with one drawer at a time, one closet. Ask yourself when's the last time I used or wore this item. If your answer is I can't remember, get rid of it. It frees up space and it can be a treasure for someone else.

Start with your medicine cabinet. Take everything out, and discard outdated medications, makeup, and skincare products. Put everything you're keeping immediately back into the cabinet, storing the items you use most often at eye level.

Allocate some time each day that works within your daily schedule, it could be five, 10 or 30 minutes. I find setting a timer and putting my phone down helps keep distractions at bay and allows me to work through the area swiftly,' advises organizing guru Nicola Lewis.

Decluttering may also have a positive impact on mental health.
